As part of the AirLink Performance series, the RV55 is to support mission-critical systems in extremely harsh indoor, vehicle or exposed outdoor locations. It provides the ultimate combination of secure, cellular LTE and Wi-Fi performance, with high-availability and network agility in a ruggedized form-factor.

Description

The Sierra Wireless® AirLink® RV55 LTE-A Pro router is a compact, intelligent and fully-featured communications platform that provides real-time wireless capabilities for fixed and mobile applications. The RV55 use LTE with fall back to HSPA+ and other radio bands.

It is intended for use in industrial settings such as:

  • Remotely monitoring and controlling infrastructure and surveillance equipment on pipelines, meters, pumps and valves in any energy, utility, or industrial application
  • Tracking the location of heavy equipment and assets in the field
  • Providing reliable Internet access to a mobile workforce
