In modern vehicles it is becoming increasingly difficult to find an ignition feed – that is, a power source that turns on and off with the vehicle ignition, which is used to turn various devices (such as our PCs and routers) on and off with the ignition or engine.
The VA5S01 solves this problem by detecting charging voltage in both 12V and 24V vehicles and producing a simulated ignition feed.
The output can supply up to 10A (subject to being connected to a suitable source), becoming active when the engine is started and ceasing as soon as the engine is stopped.
An LED indicates the status of the smart ignition feed.
Note – the VA5S01 has been discontinued and is no longer available to order. Please consider the CB-6 Multi Output CAN interface instead, which includes an ignition feed.
