The CQ20 runs on a standard x86 platform. Windows and Linux are both supported, your existing drivers work without modification, and there is no proprietary middleware to deal with. If your software team already has a working Windows or Linux build, it will run on the CQ20 without requalification.
Each unit is configured to your order. You choose the modules, memory, storage and operating system at the time of ordering, and we build it to that specification. Every unit is tested before it leaves us and covered by a 2-year return-to-base warranty as standard, extendable to 3 or 5 years if your procurement or fleet contract requires longer cover.
PCU is our control utility for In-CarPC vehicle PCs, developed in-house. GUI for hands-on use. CLI for scripting into fleet provisioning.
The ignition system automatically controls the PC's power based on the vehicle's ignition signal. Each timer sets the delay at a different stage.
Startup
Shutdown
Set IGN-on, software-on, software-off and power-off delays directly. Live readback from the MCU after every write.
Write settings one unit at a time. Each machine keeps its own configuration.
See the boot, run and shutdown windows on a timeline. Know exactly what happens at ignition.
The matching command-line tool, on Windows and Linux. Built for integrators, fleet ops and line testing.
Run from your provisioning script during the build. Ignition timing set on every unit before it ships.
Identical commands in your pre-shipping tests. Same config applied, same result, every time.
Headless CLI. Runs without a display or GPU driver attached.
Drop pcu-cli into your own scripts. JSON output for structured data, quiet mode for clean logs.
Optional 5G or 4G LTE keeps the vehicle online wherever it goes. Tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and an integrated multi-constellation GNSS for vehicle positioning. Programmable ignition control for direct vehicle integration.
An optional Hailo-8 module slots into the CQ20 via M.2 Key M and delivers 26 TOPS of INT8 edge inference. Typical power draw is 3.3W under ResNet-50 – no discrete GPU, no active cooling, no cloud dependency. The industrial extended-temperature variant runs sustained inference workloads across the full -40°C to +85°C range.
All inference runs locally on the vehicle, not in the cloud.

Yes. The CQ20 is a standard x86 platform running Windows 10/11 (Pro, IoT, LTSC, Enterprise) or Linux (Ubuntu LTS, Debian, others on request). Software runs the same as on any PC. We can pre-install your OS image, drivers and applications at build time.
Yes. The CQ20 takes a 9-36 VDC input, covering both 12V and 24V vehicle systems. Reverse-polarity, over-voltage and over-current protection are built in. Ignition control is configurable.
Only if your application uses AI inference on the vehicle – ANPR, driver monitoring, video analytics or similar. For dispatch, telematics, signage and most standard workloads the base CQ20 is enough. The Hailo-8 is an optional add-in.
Two years return-to-base as standard, extendable to three or five years on request. UK service and support throughout the warranty period. Out-of-warranty repair and refurbishment is also available.
