In-CarPC launches Tablet PC at the 2010 Commercial Vehicle Operator Show

April 2010

In-CarPC at 2010 Commercial Vehicle Operator ShowIn-CarPC has announced a new Tablet PC, the T12-160.  Launched at the 2010 Commercial Vehicle Operator show at the NEC in Birmingham, the T12-160 features a large 12.1" touch sensitive display (optionally sunlight readable), hard drives up to 640 GB, and a range of optional features including integrated GPS, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi and Smart Card readers.

The new Vehicle Tablet PC complements In-CarPC's extensive line-up of built-in vehicle computers, and provides a solution for those customers who need to be able to continue using the PC while outside the vehicle.  A docking station is available to ensure that taking the PC in and out of the vehicle is an easy process.

The T12-160 is a semi-rugged device, capable of withstanding drops of 60 cm, and featuring a waterproof screen. A tough rubber frame protects the edges of the tablet, and an elasticated strap at the rear allows the user to comfortably and securely hold the tablet PC in one hand. To maximise the unit’s compactness no physical keyboard is included - instead, an on-screen keyboard is available preinstalled for use with the large touchscreen.
