Verbal Email Announcer
This feature allows our car computers to read your emails and other information out loud to you, in a high quality UK English synthesised voice.
Our verbal email announcer can check your email account(s) and read any new messages out loud to you. The software can be set to automatically check your emails every certain number of minutes, or you can just press a button when you want to check your emails. The system is safe and easy to use, and does not require the driver to take his or her eyes off the road.
The software supports an unlimited number of POP3, IMAP and Exchange MAPI email accounts. When reading your messages the sender and subject of the email are read to you, and you can choose how much (if any) of the message body is read out. During message playback you can easily skip to the next message or stop playback altogether. Text in emails that is not part of the current message (like previous messages that most email clients append to the message automatically) can be ignored. Message filtering is also supported so that you can prevent spam from spoiling your drive.
In addition to emails, almost any electronic document can be read out loud to you as you drive. This includes Microsoft Word documents*, PDF files, html files and, of course, text files.
If you want documents read to you then you will need to spend a few moments telling the program what you want it to read before you start driving**. Any number of documents can be added to the reading queue, and adding them is a very simple process.
The software also adds a bar to Internet Explorer so that when you are browsing web pages you can add them to the reading queue with one button press. Alternatively, you can have web pages read out loud instantly, without adding them to the reading queue at all.***

Emails and documents are read out loud over your car's speakers in a high quality UK English synthesised voice. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, we are unable to provide an audio sample of this voice on our website. However, we would be happy to demonstrate this feature to you using our demo car.
Both the email checker and document reader can be controlled either using on-screen buttons, or with physical buttons installed on or around your dashboard.

*In order to have Word documents read out to you Microsoft Word must be installed. Microsoft Word is included in all the versions of Microsoft Office that we provide.
**The process of adding documents to the reading queue can only be carried out when the car is stationary.
