Connect to Specialist Hardware
Our dedicated vehicle computers can be used across a wide range of industries where vehicles are deployed in the field to perform data capture tasks. Because they are specifically designed to be used in an automotive environment, our computers provide greatly enhanced safety, usability and efficiency compared to using laptops (click here for more information).
Our vehicle PCs are fully functional computers, not stripped-down handheld devices, which means they can be used with any specialist hardware device that includes a PC data interface.
Examples of situations where our computers can be used with specialist hardware include:

Examining the condition of public roads to ensure that the road is safe to drive on

Recording data from electricity, gas or water meters that use wireless technology

Receiving data from RFID scanners located within range of the vehicle

As standard we supply our PCs preinstalled with Windows XP or Vista, making it very likely that your device will be supported. If no XP or Vista drivers are available for your hardware device we can use other operating systems, including Linux.
