Overview

The V200 series is a single-fanned mini PC featuring a Celeron J1900 processor which offers good levels of performance with low power requirements.  Up to 8 GB RAM is supported, as well as up to two internal hard drives or SSDs, plus USB 3.0 ports and dual-output graphics (VGA & HDMI).

As standard the V200 series accepts a wide input voltage range of 8-19V DC.  Flexibility is one of the V200's key strengths, with up to three Mini PCIe expansion slots, plus an optional PCI Express x1 slot, providing enormous expansion potential.  This allows us to build the PC to your spec with a large number of built-in features, including Wi-Fi, 4G, GPS, analogue video capture, and additional networking or USB ports.  

To facilitate easy SIM card installation an optional tool-less removal mechanism for the front panel (which covers the SIM slot) is available. 

A range of mounting options - covering wall/panel, VESA and DIN rail - ensures that the PC can be used in a wide range of environments.  Long-term availability allows the V200 series to meet your ongoing requirements, and each PC comes with a 2-year warranty as standard.

Front Panel Cover

Front panel cover containing power button.  2 x USB 2.0 ports are located behind the front panel cover.  

Optional 3rd Mini PCI Express slot & associated SIM card slot are also located behind the front panel cover.  The 3rd Mini PCI Express slot blocks access to the 2 x USB 2.0 ports, which are therefore disabled.

The front panel cover can be removed in order to access the USB ports or SIM card.  As standard this involves a partial disassembly of the PC which requires both a Phillips and a flat-head screwdriver, and takes around 5-10 minutes for removal and reapplication.  

An optional tool-less front-panel cover removal mechanism is available, which secures the front panel cover using external thumb screws instead of internal clips.  With this option no tools are required to remove the front panel cover and the process takes less than 1 minute.  We strongly recommend the tool-less front panel cover removal option if the front panel cover may need to be removed by users with limited practical experience in working with small computers.

SMA Connector Locations

GPS, 4G and Wi-Fi options each require one (for GPS) or two (for 4G & Wi-Fi) SMA antenna connectors.

For most configurations all SMA connectors are located on the rear of the PC. 

Occasionally it may be necessary to mount one or more SMA connectors along one side of the PC. An optional right-angled SMA adapter allows connected cables to exit towards the rear of the PC. Please contact us with your desired PC specification for more details.

Note - We do not recommend V200 series PCs for in-vehicle applications, as the power supply input voltage range is not wide enough, and the PC is not E-mark certified.  CAN-bus support is provided purely to support lab-based applications.  For vehicle-based applications please choose from our C or CQ family PCs.

Note that the internal power supply is not suitable for being powered from a vehicle's electrical system, as its input range is not wide enough. V-family PCs are also not E-mark certified, so we cannot recommend them for vehicle applications. Please choose from our C or CQ family PCs for vehicle-based applications.

This is the earliest date at which we expect to stop producing new units of this PC model. However, the warranty for each PC will remain in place regardless of whether the EoL date has passed, and will continue for the duration of the original warranty period.
