Even in this digital age it is still essential in many industries to be able to produce or save hard copies of documents. We can offer mobile printers and scanners with our vehicle computer systems so that staff can print and scan documents on-site while away from the office.

Mobile Printing
We can supply our car computer systems with an HP mobile printer, which is specially designed for life on the road. Featuring print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute for black and 18 ppm for colour, and able to print to a wide range of media (inkjet paper, plain paper, photo paper, cards, envelopes, labels and transparencies) this printer has features that rival many standard home or office printers.
As standard the printer connects to the vehicle computer via USB, but it can also be ordered with Bluetooth technology and a rechargeable battery so that it can be placed anywhere in the vehicle. The printer would then only need to be connected to the power lead when its battery needed to be recharged which, at up to 500 pages per charge, should not be very often.
Other printer features include:
- Borderless photo printing
- 50 sheet input paper tray and fold-out output door
- Anti-vibration design for reliable mobile printing
- Cancel button
- Up to 4800 by 1200 dpi colour print quality
- Easily manually print two-sided documents
This colour scanner (at the very top of the picture above) is one of the smallest scanners on the market, mainly due to the fact that it is a pass-through scanner, so the paper is fed in on one side of the scanner and emerges on the other.
The scanner features 2 hot-key buttons that allow scanning to be initiated directly from the scanner, useful for applications where the scanner might be installed some distance away from the computer screen.
One hot-key button scans the document to an easy to use image management program called Presto! Page Manager. This program stores and manages all your scanned images and from here they can either be printed, saved, or sent to the included OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program, the award winning ABBYY FineReader.
ABBYY FineReader automatically converts any text in the image to editable text, and includes options to import the scanned document into Microsoft Word or Excel, preserving the formatting of the original document where possible, and allowing users to work on the document from within these programs.
The second hot-key button on the scanner is configurable, and can be set to either scan straight to the printer, or to an email, or to the included OCR program.
Sending Faxes
Various online services are available that allow faxes to be sent via email. The process is simple - send the document or image that needs to be faxed to a special email address, and the online service will automatically fax this to any fax number. It is also possible to be allocated a dedicated fax number that people can use to send faxes to you, via email. Please contact us for more information about sending faxes via the internet.
