Power Supply:

Internal intelligent automotive power supply:

  • PC automatically turns on and off with vehicle ignition
  • Input voltage: 6V to 24V
  • Idle power consumption <5mA
  • High efficiency for extended battery life
  • PC will not reboot during engine cranking
  • Protection against transients and load dumps
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • Automatic shutdown with low battery
  • Optional remote output for turning on and off an external device, such as an amplifier. By default this output will activate approximately 1 second after the PC turns on, and deactivate before the PC turns off. If this output is used to control an amplifier then no "thump" noise will be heard over the vehicle speakers when the PC turns on and off.
  • Configurable shut-down delay. The time between the ignition being turned off and the PC powering down can be changed (configured at order time)
  • Hard Power Off. In the event of a software crash during shut down the power will be cut to prevent draining of the vehicle battery.
  • Modified PSU settings can be loaded for customers with special requirements - please contact us for more information.
