In-CarPC launches new and improved website
This month we launched our brand new website, which has undergone many changes in order to enhance the experience of visitors to our website.
The following paragraphs will show exactly what changes have been made and why.
User Experience
Our newly designed website is now better structured than before, thus providing easier navigation for users. We have tried to make things easier to find by splitting the website into logical sections - which can now be accessed easily via new intuitive drop-down menus. Furthermore, a search bar has now been placed in the upper-right corner of the website, which allows detailed searching of our site, from technical details of PC models to information about projects we have worked on in the past.
'Markets' section
A significant change to the website has been the addition of the Markets section. Due to the evolution of In-CarPC in recent years, our in-vehicle PCs are now being used in numerous industries. We therefore created our Markets section to show visitors some of the industries we serve, and why our in-vehicle PCs are well-suited to those particular industries. Feel free to take a look at our Markets Section, which includes the ten main industries we serve, by hovering your mouse over 'Main Markets' at the top of this page and selecting the appropriate industry.
New Logo
You may also have noticed our new company logo, which has been redesigned to reflect the fact that our computers are used in all types of vehicle, not just cars. In fact, despite the fact that we are called "In-CarPC", more of our PCs are used in commercial vehicles than cars!
The addition of the strapline "Vehicle Computer Systems" communicates this fact, while improving the visual impact of our logo.
Other Changes
A small change, but a major improvement to user experience, is to our News section. Concise news story summary boxes are now provided, making our news section easier to read at a glance, and allowing users to read more about our stories if they wish.
Other small changes include the featured product section on our sidebar, allowing us to showcase our PCs to users; and our data sheets have been improved to include more up-to-date options for our vehicle computers. Finally, we have now added a newsletter subscription box on our sidebar to enable us to communicate our occasional but relevant newsletters.
