In-CarPC has announced an exciting new range of PC models that offer outstanding levels of built-in functionality. As well as that, even more flexibility with regards to optional modules across most of its current models will be provided.

Tenerife-based company MDTotem has equipped a fleet of 50 taxis with In-CarPC’s computers, which use software developed by MDTotem to show advertising information to passengers.  The PCs provide a comprehensive in-vehicle advertising solution that not only displays advertising content to passengers using large screens built-in to the headrests, but also allows relevant information to be quickly transferred to passengers' Bluetooth phones.

In-CarPC's computers are now supplied with a new pre-installed recovery solution, at no extra cost, that gives customers the ability to easily restore their PC to factory settings.

In-CarPC has announced a new Tablet PC, the T12-160.  Launched at the 2010 Commercial Vehicle Operator show at the NEC in Birmingham, the T12-160 features a large 12.1" touch sensitive display (optionally sunlight readable), hard drives up to 640 GB, and a range of optional features including integrated GPS, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi and Smart Card readers.

TM-CS BV, a leading provider of in-vehicle computer systems for emergency services, has been appointed by In-CarPC as its exclusive distributor in the Netherlands for certain PC models.

In-CarPC’s J6 series Intel Core 2 Duo vehicle PC has completed the first step in becoming NPIA AES SPEC 5 certified (a police-related EMC test, similar to e-mark), by passing a pre-test. This is of particular interest to police forces.

In-CarPC’s 3G-enabled computers are being used to display in-vehicle advertising in approximately 30 taxis across Jersey.

Mitsubishi UK are now able to provide their specialist fleet customers with vehicle computer systems from In-CarPC, which will be used for a wide range of tasks, including vehicle tracking, mobile CCTV recording and much more.

We launched our brand new website this month. We feel that the new site has a greatly improved visual design compared to the old site, and the menu system has been redesigned to make the site more intuitive, easier to navigate and more user friendly.

In response to feedback from existing business customers, at the end of 2007 In-CarPC started offering business customers the option to lease their vehicle computer equipment instead of buying outright. In-CarPC visited Autocar with their demo car for a review, and their system was awarded an excellent 4.5 stars out of 5, the reviewer describing it as “the ultimate mobile office”. The article was published on page 19 of the 10 October 2007 edition of Autocar magazine, but unfortunately this is not available online.

In order to visually demonstrate their product to as many people as possible, In-CarPC produced a 5-minute promotional video. Of course we still provide on-site demonstrations, but the video gives a good overview of some of the main features of our computers.
