Fully installed Vehicle Computers

We work closely with a number of trusted installation partners to provide fully installed vehicle computer systems to UK customers who require a complete in-vehicle computing solution with the minimum of hassle. 

All our installed vehicle computers include a touch sensitive display and all the other hardware required for a fully functional in-vehicle computer, professionally installed by an experienced engineer, either at our workshop near Bristol or on-site at your location.  Click here to see some example installations.

Our PCs are powered by the vehicle's battery, and turn themselves on and off automatically with the ignition. We also install a manual over-ride switch so that the PC can continue to be used after the ignition has been turned off, or can be prevented from powering on at all.  The computers are designed specifically for automotive use, and are resistant to the drop in battery voltage caused by engine cranking, so will continue operating normally when the vehicle is started (if already powered on).  The battery's voltage is constantly monitored and the computer will automatically turn off when the battery voltage dips below a preset level.

Turning on and off needn't take long, as our computers can be set to hibernate rather than completely shutting down.  While the computer is in hibernation mode it uses no more power than it would had it been fully shut down, but takes only a short amount of time to resume when it is next turned on. It also means that the PC reloads to the exact same state that it was in when it was turned off, so that users can immediately pick up where they left off - be that navigating to a destination or entering data into the PC.

*The "Passenger" system includes high quality touch sensitive VGA displays professionally trimmed into both the vehicle's existing front seat headrests. Both rear screens show the same picture, although the system can be upgraded to allow the screens to be independent.  Please note that it may not be possible to install headrest displays into all vehicles due to safety features such as airbags and active head restraints.  Click here for further information about multiple displays.
