We offer a range of vehicle PC models to suit any vehicle computing application. Each model is available in one of three chassis options, with a variety of memory and hard drive options, and numerous internal modules that provide additional functionality. All our PCs are built to order at our Bristol offices, and we go out of our way to meet any special requests that are not on our extensive list of standard options.
All our computers are designed specifically for use in vehicles, and carry the automotive "e-mark" certification that is required by law for all vehicle-based equipment. Featuring internal intelligent automotive power supplies that are compatible with both 12V and 24V* vehicles, our PCs can turn themselves on and off automatically with the vehicle ignition, and do not reboot when the vehicle's engine is cranked during starting. Our computers are made using the highest quality components, and carry a 2-year warranty as standard.
All our PCs feature an auxiliary power output socket that provides a regulated 12V power source (up to 1A) for accessories such as LCD displays. Windows 7 Professional and Windows XP Professional (FES) are available preinstalled, with a Factory Recovery Solution that can be used to easily restore the PC to factory settings without requiring any external bootable media.
Model Families
Our PC model numbers begin with one of the following letters:
- N - Our entry-level computers which are suitable for most applications, other than those requiring large numbers of built-in legacy ports (e.g. RS-232) or guaranteed long-term supply. Most N-family computers support one or more expansion features such as GPS, Wi-Fi or 3G. Our N-family PCs are typically available for around 1-2 years from launch before they reach End-of-Life (EoL) status and are replaced by newer models, although of course support continues after this for the duration of the warranty period.
- J - The J-family computers build on the strength of the N-family by offering greater numbers of legacy ports (e.g. RS-232), and also allow enhanced expansion options. Availability depends on the exact model, ranging from between 2 and 5 years from launch before a model reaches EoL status.
- C - Our C-family PCs complete our model line-up by offering large numbers of legacy ports plus extensive expansion capabilities, allowing numerous simultaneous built-in features such as GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi and video capture functionality. C-family PCs are typically available for around 7 years from launch, making them ideal for embedded applications requiring long-term fixed-specification supply.
Chassis Options
All models are available in one of three chassis:
- ICPC-1 chassis - This is our most compact chassis, capable of being installed in a variety of locations within almost any vehicle. While not supporting any PCI(e) cards, the ICPC-1 chassis does allow internal Mini PCI or Mini PCI Express cards (depending on model) to be used.
- ICPC-3 chassis - The ICPC-3 chassis is only slightly larger than the ICPC-1 chassis, and offers additional RS-232 or VGA ports (depending on model), a low-profile PCI(e) slot, and supports an externally accessible SIM card slot for the internal 3G module.
- ICPC-4 chassis - Although the ICPC-4 chassis is our largest it is still very compact, and supports up to 2 full-size PCI(e) slots, plus an internal optical drive or removable hard drive module.

Intel Atom and AMD Fusion Models

The N6180 is our highly capable entry-level system, and includes onboard graphics, audio, networking, up to 7 x USB2.0 ports, and 2 RS-232 ports. Hard drives of up to 750 GB capacity are available, up to 4 GB DDR3 RAM is supported, and Intel Hyper-Threading Technology offers enhanced system responsiveness.
In common with all our PCs, the N6180 includes an intelligent internal automotive power supply that turns the PC on and off in a controlled manner in response to the vehicle's ignition status, as well as supporting many other advanced features.
The N6180 includes a PCI slot, which allows extra functionality to be added when ordered with the ICPC-3 or ICPC-4 chassis, and a range of built-in features such as 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi are supported.

| Overview: |
The J81.180 is our first PC to offer integrated USB3.0 connectivity. A wealth of extra port options are also available which, in most cases, do not require an upgrade to a larger chassis. For example, the J81.180 can be ordered with up to 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports while still in the compact ICPC-1 chassis.

Based on AMD's Fusion T56N dual core processor, the J82.160 is our first PC to be powered by AMD, and features integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics with VGA, DVI-D and HDMI outputs. This allows the J82.160 to provide significantly better performance than equivalent Intel Atom models, especially for graphics-related applications.

Supporting up to 6 RS-232 ports, offering extensive expansion capabilities via PCI, Mini PCI and Mini PCI Express slots, and with guaranteed availability until at least Q3 2017, the C1 series is ideal for long-term embedded applications.

Designed for long-term embedded applications, the C2 series has guaranteed availability until at least 2018.

The full model numbers of our computers follow this format:
[Chassis Type]-[PC model number]-[RAM]-[Hard drive]-[Additional Functionality]
For example, "ICPC-3-C2266-8-750" is the C2 series PC with a 2.66 GHz processor, in the ICPC-3 chassis, with 8 GB RAM, a 750 GB hard drive, and no additional functionality such as an internal 3G or GPS module.
