In-CarPC Ltd was incorporated in August 2006, and has quickly become established as a leading vehicle PC manufacturer. Our approach of building high quality and reliable PCs, tailored specifically to the needs of our customers, has seen us win orders from clients including Serco, Manchester Airport and the Ministry of Defence. In 2010 we appointed our first distributor outside the UK, and international sales are now a major part of our business.

In the early days of the business we focussed strongly on our vehicle installation service, with all the PCs we made being installed by our own in-house installation team.
As word spread and demand for our computers grew, both from within the UK and internationally, we had an important question to answer - were we a vehicle PC manufacturer or an installation company? |

The answer to this was obvious, and in 2009 we stopped providing an in-house installation service, instead relying on a small network of trusted partner companies to provide installation services for those customers who required it. This allowed us to concentrate solely on our core business of making vehicle computers.
We believe it is vital for a manufacturer of any product to fully understand the environment in which their product will be used, and having operated our own vehicle installation service for several years, and by subsequently working closely with our installation partners, we can confidently say that we do, and that we can provide an expert level of pre-sales advice and after-sales support to our customers.
Our commitment to high standards is demonstrated by the fact that all of our PCs have been awarded e-mark certification, giving our computers the regulatory approval that is necessary for them to be permanently installed in vehicles.

Not only are we a vehicle manufacturer, but by working with our small network of trusted installation partners we can provide installation services. We believe that having the whole process, from manufacture to installation, controlled by the same company is precisely how vehicle computing should be done.
Even for customers who don’t require specialist installation skills, and have the necessary expertise either in-house or through existing installation partners, the fact that we have both computer and vehicle expertise allows us to provide a much higher level of support than companies that are never involved with the real-world environment where their products are used.

We focus on producing high quality automotive computers that are built for functionality and long-term reliability, and on providing excellent after sales customer care and technical support. The fact that we offer a 2-year warranty as standard (extendable to 3 years) demonstrates the confidence that we have in our computers. Our computers are being used in a wide range of applications within the UK, across Europe, and also further afield in countries including Canada, South Africa, and Turkey. 6. Our computers comply with legislation.
Our computers have all been awarded the automotive "e-mark" certification, which is required by law for all electronic equipment installed into vehicles. Despite the e-mark being a mandatory requirement across the whole of the EU (and an equivalent United Nations standard known as the "E-mark" being applied in non-EU countries), there are a surprising number of so-called "car" computers on the market that do not have e-mark certification. Such products cannot be regarded as serious competition to genuine e-marked products.
7. We are flexible, and offer bespoke system design.
We recognise that different organisations have different requirements, and we welcome all enquiries. Because we build our computers on a per-order basis, we can rapidly introduce new features or adapt our computers, as required by our customers.
