Voice Recognition
We can supply our car computers preinstalled with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, the world's best selling speech recognition software. This software allows you to dictate text into emails or documents and also to control standard Windows programs using your voice. It can cope with up to 160 words per minute, which is much quicker than most people can type.
This feature is demonstrated in our video - once the software is loaded the computer will recognised the words that you say and type them into whichever program you are using. Text can be input into almost any program, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer. The software also allows you to control standard Windows programs with your voice, including browsing the internet using Internet Explorer by verbally instructing the computer which links you want to follow.
Because all you need to do is sit back and talk, Dragon NaturallySpeaking allows long documents to be composed in extreme comfort, and in most cases significantly faster than by manually typing the document using a keyboard. The software's accuracy is astounding (maybe you'd like us to demonstrate it to you), and requires only minimal training.
We will install a small and discreet microphone in your car so that the voice recognition can be used completely hands-free*. For noisy environments we can supply a wireless Bluetooth earpiece in order to improve recognition accuracy.
Further information
Although we try to have everything working for you as soon as we finish installing your system, this option requires you to spend just a few minutes training the system so that it recognises your voice. As such this is one of the few options that will not work 'out of the box'.

*The Dragon NaturallySpeaking software can be used hands-free while the car is stationary, so that the driver does not have to wear a headset microphone. However, this software is not suitable for use by the driver while the car is in motion.
