Our satellite navigation option offers a wide range of features to guide you smoothly to your destination.

Features include:

• Free Speed camera warning - our systems come preinstalled with the latest speed camera database from PocketGPSWorld. This comprehensive database is widely regarded as the most used, most trusted and best in the UK. The database is regularly updated and subscriptions to the PocketGPSWorld database start from only £2.
  • Speed camera locations are displayed on-screen
  • Covers all types of camera throughout UK and Europe
  • Verbal announcement when the vehicle approaches a camera
  • Speed limit at the camera's location is displayed on-screen
• Full UK postcode search - When telling the computer where you want to go you can search by UK postcode (including all digits), a street address or a road intersection
• Automatic rerouting - don't worry if you make a wrong turning as the computer will quickly calculate an alternative route. Sometimes this may involve making a U-turn, although you can tell the system to avoid asking you to make U-turns.
• Complete European maps - Detailed street-level maps for the whole of Europe are included, and maps for other parts of the world are also available.
• Points of interest with direct dial - A large number of points of interest are included, such as petrol stations, hotels, car parks, cash machines, etc. If you choose our mobile phone hands-free option you can call most of these points of interest from within Navigation mode.
• Voice prompts - turn-by-turn instructions are spoken to your in a clear female voice over your car's speakers. Any music playing will automatically be faded out while voice prompts are being given.
• On-screen map - A large clear map is displayed on the screen showing your current position and the route ahead. You can choose between 2D and 3D (birds-eye) views. While in 2D view you can set the map either to be orientated North, or to be orientated to your direction of travel. A list of turns can be displayed beside the map.
• Journey information - Your direction, altitude, current speed, estimated time to go, estimated time of arrival or distance to go can be displayed beside the map.
• Avoid roads - You can set the navigator to avoid a road included in your current route, or you can set up a list of roads that are always avoided. Toll roads can also be avoided.
• Night mode - darkens the on-screen map to avoid partially blinding the driver at night. This can either be set to happen automatically at a certain time of day, or be done manually.
• Automatic mode switch - Centrafuse can automatically switch back to navigation mode when you approach a turn if you have switched to a different mode (e.g. phone mode) since the last turn
• Favourites - an unlimited number of favourites can be stored and organised into your own categories
• Trip planner - You can add various destinations to a trip list, so that after you arrive at each sub-destination you will automatically be directed to the next place in the list.
• Route overview - shows a map of your complete route
• Choice of route calculations - choose between shortest (in distance) or quickest (in time) route

And, of course, unlike standard sat-nav systems, our car computers have internet access (if you choose this option) so you can use online resources like Google Local or Yell.com to find places quickly wherever you are - for example, the address of a particular business that isn't listed in the Points of Interest.

The satellite navigation software is part of the Centrafuse vehicle infotainment program. Centrafuse is regularly updated as new features are added, so rest assured that your navigation software will get even better in the future.

Fleet Tracking System

For businesses with fleets of vehicles we can provide a comprehensive fleet tracking and management facility. Any computer with internet access can be used to track the location of the entire fleet and communicate with individual drivers. The tracking system is tightly integrated with the vehicle computer's navigation software, so that new destinations can be issued to any vehicle from company headquarters.
