Mobile Phone Hands-free System
Our computers provide advanced hands-free functionality for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, allowing you to make high quality hands-free calls and control the phone directly from the computer's screen.
Features include:
- Hands-free operation so that you can safely and legally use your phone while driving
- Excellent sound quality - The caller's voice is played loudly and clearly, either over the car's speakers or on a dedicated speaker, so you'll never have a problem hearing them. A high quality microphone means they'll always hear you.
- Echo Cancellation - the person you are speaking to won't hear their own voice echoed back to them.
- Reads text messages out loud - if you receive a new text message the computer can read it out loud to you as you drive
- Incoming call notification - Displays the name and number of the person calling you, and also reads out loud the caller's name. You are notified of incoming calls regardless of which mode you are in (for example, the phone can be answered directly from navigation mode). Clearly labelled on-screen buttons let you easily answer or reject an incoming call.
- Automatically pauses music when a call is made or received
- View your contacts - displays your phone book contacts on the computer screen for easy dialling
- Dial any number by using the on-screen keyboard
- Received, dialled and missed calls display - displays your recently received, dialled and missed calls on-screen, and allows you to quickly dial an entry with one button press
- View text messages - displays your phone's text messages inbox. Individual text messages can be displayed on-screen
- Compose and send text messages using the computer's screen
- Call points of interest - From within the Navigation mode you can directly call a business listed in the points of interest database
- Charges your phone - your phone slots into a cradle and is charged as you drive.
The hands-free system is part of the Centrafuse software interface. Information relating to your phone is clearly displayed on the computer's large touch sensitive colour screen. New features are regularly added to Centrafuse, so you can be confident that the hands-free system will support new phone features in the future as they come to market.
Compatibility
Nearly all modern phones with Bluetooth are supported - please contact us if you would like us to check support for a certain phone.
